Services Provided

I offer counseling in a natural, outdoor environment, which provides a peaceful and comfortable setting for sessions. I also have an indoor office available. Partnering with animals in therapy provides a powerful and relational alternative to traditional counseling. I am committed to walking alongside you through the process of healing. I believe in the healing power of safe and healthy relationships, which includes relationships with our animals at the barn.

I utilize a variety of counseling modalities to suite the needs of each of my clients including expressive arts, equine assisted counseling, traditional talk therapy and play therapy. While all spiritual beliefs are very much welcome, I can offer the choice of Christian and faith based counseling if desired.

Natural Lifemanship (NL)

I have training in Equine Assisted Therapy through Natural Lifemanship. NL is a relationship-focused therapy that involves utilizing what we know about the brain and relationship patterns to help individuals learn to self-regulate and form deep, lasting, and healing relationships.

Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT)

I have training in Child-Parent Relationship Therapy which involves parent support and techniques to assist parents in regaining an enjoyable relationship with their child, improving communication and discipline, and understanding their child. Often times, parents feel exasperated or alone in parenting challenges. I am available to provide support not only for your child, but also for you as a parent.

Expressive arts

I offer expressive arts therapy as well. I believe that expression through art can break down walls of hesitation or resistance sometimes experienced with more traditional counseling methods. This can often be beneficial for adolescents who are unsure or unwilling to attend traditional therapy.

Play therapy

Lastly, I have extensive training in Play Therapy and have a small playroom inside my office. Play is the natural language of children and the avenue through which they process their world. There is empirical research demonstrating the effectiveness of Play Therapy for children from the age of 3 all the way up to age 12.
